NetSpend is a prepaid debit card and www.netspend.com is the official website for NetSpend. If you have a poor credit history and have a hard time getting a credit card, the NetSpend card may be just for you.  You can set up a direct deposit with NetSpend by depositing your paycheck directly into NetSpend. This direct deposit balance becomes your funded account for your spending. You can use the NetSpend card anywhere just like a Visa and can spend it anywhere where this cards are accepted. You can also use it to withdraw cash from ATM worldwide.

NetSpend locations and fees
It has all the benefit of a visa card and your cash is also FDIC insured as it is issued by MetaBank which is a member of FDIC. At the time of reviewing this site, it even has an advertising of 5.00% APY on savings which is really high compared to current rates of 1% or so. so, we are not sure if it is true. If you do not have direct deposit into your account, you can also reload the NetSpend card with cash at NetSpend Reload Center which are typically in Safeways, Rite Aid, Longs, 7-Eleven, etc. Be sure to check the fees though as you can have a $4.50 reload fee in most locations and up to $5. Is NetSpend.com card a scam?
You can get a NetSpend card by opening a new account online at www.netspend.com. You can also go to NetSpend Login to check for account balance. If you check on the web for www.netspend.com scam, you will find quite a number of complains as a scam. Mostly, it is about the website and Netspend system being down causing customers not being able to access their information, balance and use the website. There are quite a number of NetSpend.com reviews that are negative it seems. The funds are suppose to be deposited into MetaBank which is federally insured and issued by MetaBank.
