How do I create a SmugBox account

Just go to the sign up page, start writing and make money once you have readers reading your articles.

How do I participate?

SmugBox is about writing great articles whether it is an opinion article, a factual article or news article. Great articles are typically 500 words or more and are original in content.

Why should I link to other services

If you are writing a great article, we want you to share with your friends and family conveniently.

How do I link to other services

After you created an account, just go to Settings and you will be able to add and link the various services to your email address.

Is linking to other services secure?

We do not ask for your username and password. We use OAuth or other authentication mechanisms used by the services. Your user name and password are entered directly in Facebook, Twitter and other websites. We never ask for your username and password for the various services on our site.

What can I post?

You should post only original content. We do not accept articles that are sexual in nature, abusive, racist, spam, etc. Only approved articles will be exposed to search engines and our audience.

Are there humans behind this service?

How do I earn points?

You can earn points by doing some common activity on SmugBox such as posting content, posting a comment, integrating with 3rd party services, etc. You can check out the Points Table here.

You can use points to level up. Since you have been posting to social networks and photo/video sharing sites, we thought it may be fun for you to earn points while doing that. Points is your bragging rights to friends on how social you are and also an indication of the quality of your posts.
